Robert Plant continues to debunk any and all rumors that he will join the band for a Led Zeppelin reunion tour. He has addressed this issue directly on his website, and makes it very clear that he is committed to his project with Alison Krauss and has absolutely no intentions of answering the prayers of so many millions of Zeppelin fans.

So be it.

Even though Jimmy Page, John Paul Jones and Jason Bonham are all said to be on board, they have no pilot for the Starship. Or do they? John Paul Jones has mentioned that the band has been auditioning singers for a possible album/tour and that “it has to be the right fit. We don’t want a Robert clone- we could get that from a tribute band. We don’t want to be our own tribute band.”

I’m pretty sure Zeppelin fans don’t either. They want Robert Plant. For the price it is going to cost for a ticket to see Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones jam, it better be Elvis taking his place.

Led Zeppelin without Robert Plant is like a Christmas pageant without Jesus. It just won’t work.

Led Zeppelin is probably the biggest band in the world today, and they aren’t even a band- they were a band.  Go figure.

Productive = Procrastination

The reality is that you probably can’t convince yourself you are being productive when you actually are – too worried about the outcome of the particular project or deadline. So this means that anytime you are convinced that you’re being productive, you are actually procrastinating. This is the proverbial BS detector. You can’t elude it.

If you’re cleaning the house, for example, you are most likely procrastinating something you loathe more than *ahem* cleaning. You might stop for a glass of water and realize you were just ironing your dress clothes in case you get invited to a wedding or something. Or when you sit down to watch a movie, you might want to take the apron off and keep in mind that the cookies will burn if you leave them too long at 375. Oh yeah, I forgot to call professor Chang about that extension.

I get my best work done when there is something more significant to procrastinate over. I accomplish things really. I have written songs instead of university papers. I’ve gone grocery shopping and cooked a weeks worth of food instead of studying for that mid-term. I’ve posted a blog instead of writing a song. You get the idea.
